TheTechnical College or university of Ostrava(orVysoká škola báňská - Technická univerzita Ostravain Czech) is a university or college (polytechnics) situated in the city of Ostrava, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic.
The organization was created on 23 Jan 1849 as the Mining Academy in Příbram. In 1894 it had been advertised to college status and in 1904 it has been renamed toVysoká škola wáňská. In 1945 it had been relocated to Ostrava, after that the center of Czechoslovakmining market.
Today the college offers a total of about 20,000 college students and consists of the pursuing seven faculties:

- Faculty of Mechanical Executive (Czech:Fakulta strojní- FS)
